​Every morning I head into my day realizing just how much I love what I do, and who I do it for. My career gives me great joy creatively, and allows me to collaborate with wonderful people—many of whom turn into friends.
 
Just this month, thanks to my clients, I was awarded the Best of Houzz award in the category of Customer Service. According to Houzz, the award is based on several factors, including the number and quality of recent client reviews. “We are so pleased to award Best of Houzz 2017 to this incredible group of talented and customer-focused professionals,” said Liza Hausman, vice president of Industry Marketing for Houzz. “Each of these businesses was singled out for recognition by our community of homeowners and design enthusiasts for helping to turn their home improvement dreams into reality."

It was so great to be inspired by the talented landscape designers, artists and antique dealers at the Chicago Botanical Gardens Antique and Garden Fair this month. I've used some of the same colors in my own clients' homes and in painted furniture pieces.

Much of my design inspiration comes from wonderful travel experiences, reading, my focus on art and color, gardening and just staying in touch with trends both new and old. There is something to really value about history and the role it plays in our lives. Here are just a few shots of my trips to Italy, Spain and France.
